LET OUR GENETICS LEAD TO YOUR SUCCESS!
In an industry that demands improvement
every year, we offer solid genetics and
breeds to move your herd forward.

We
are Carol Thayer and Rick Daugherty, and are located in sunny White
Salmon, Washington, in the stunning Columbia River Gorge just across
from Hood River, Oregon. We are home to an exciting genetic herd of
about 50 alpacas, and welcome visitors anytime. The name "Blonde Velvet
& Me" came about because of our commitment to fineness. The
"Blonde" reflects our love of playing with color, the "Velvet"
represents our dedication to fine fleeces, and the "& Me"
simply
underscores how little else one needs in life to be happy other than
alpacas - they are simply addictive. We felt that way ten
years ago
when we named our farm, and we still have a hard time resisting the
temptation to buy them!! We believe that addiction - that passion -
that mad-love for these animals -- is a big part of the staying power
of this whole industry.
